Loading the Maricopa Certificate Authority for Internet Explorer

The following are instructions for loading the Maricopa CA Certificate if you are using Internet Explorer as your browser.

1. After selecting the Microsoft (DER) radio button, click the "Load Certificate" button.
2. Displays the File Download Window: "You have chosen to download a file from this location."
   1. Select the radio button for "Open this file from its current location."
   2. Click OK
3. Shows the Certificate indicating whom the Certificate belongs to, who issued the certificate, and validation dates. If you choose to view the Details or Certification Path tabs, you will only view more information regarding the certificate.
   1. From the General tab, Click Install Certificate. Do not click OK at this time.
4. Displays the Welcome to the Certificate Import Wizard screen.
   1. Click Next
5. Displays the Certificate Store indicating where certificates are kept.
   1. Be sure the radio button by "Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate" is selected.
   2. Click Next
6. Notifies you that you have successfully completed the Certificate Import wizard.
   1. Click Finish
7. Root Certificate Store inquiring whether you want to add the following certificate to the Root store.
   1. Select the "Yes" button
8. You are notified that the import was successful.
   1. Click OK
9. Returns to the window indicating the Certificate Information, found in step 3 above.
   1. Click OK

Congratulations, you are done!
